I worked on this like the speed of a snail stuck in molasses...yeah, real fast. Started it around Aug/Sept timeframe and finished it the day before Thanksgiving. This is my "vision" of the Dark Fairy Queen...a misunderstood fey...something of the shadows and from the shadows... Done on 300lbs. Lanaquerelle watercolor paper (cold press I believe), 3/4 done in all watercolor & or watercolor pencil, some white ink (!!! its something new for me to try!), gouache, acryllic, black ink & pastel pencils + time (I lost track of the hours invested...over 30hrs) © Wendy Fowler/05
