Artist Reply: Many thanks, just love this work, a cousin of mine commeted on seeing the sketch that "the sketch is great but would you be able to do justice with colors, cos u are a self taught artist" , I wanted to give him a good one and that is how this work was made and was more of a learning process in light and shade.

Artist Reply: many many thanks Jerrie, you actually caught it, there were a lot of thoughts in my mind lot of upheavel and no vent for them so I took to canvas and let it out here, 1993-94.....
your work in this painting is an interesting mix of two famous Western artists Melvin Warren and Charles Russell. Your figures and composition are reminiscent of Russell, and the strength of the execution and its boldness is reminiscent of Warren.

Artist Reply: Many thanks me, it took me a year to master this one, I wanted it to be great as after I had sketched it one of my assholean cousins told me that "sketching is great, dont think you will paint it as well" I then decided that this got to be real great and it turned out to be, many many thanks Mel appreciate it ......love
