Festival, Native Beans

Every year, the Tohono O'odham (or Desert People, formerly the Papago Indians because they eat beans) have a festival in late autumn, although I do not remember the name of the festival. It is held at the Tumacacori Mission, which is a historic site. This is a display of the many varieties of beans they grow and eat. Incidentally, an organization named Native Seed/SEARCH is collecting heirloom food plant seeds and providing them to people willing to grow them and spread the species. They have a web site. If you are interested in these, you should be able to search and find them. © Pat Goltz Thank you for your comments. I greatly appreciate them!
