Cuernos Principal at Sunrise

I'm digging up old material because my new material has yet to be scanned. This photo was taken in March when I was camping below Los Cuernos in Torres del Paine National Park in Chile. I was very lucky with the weather to get such a good sunrise and with the moon too. Minolta 801si alpha, 24-85mm lens, Fujichrome Provia 100, no filter, no colour manipulation.

Peter, I love this! That blue/violet shadow on the sunny cliff is exactly perfect - as is the composition!

A great photo Peter. Your mountains look painted.

Artist Reply: I swear they are not. It's just how Nature makes them look.
