This as you can see is taken from i photograph taken in south africa. This is my first pastel work - even messier than paint!

GREAT USE OF COLORS AND WONDERFUL FREEDOM IN THESE TOUCHES...YOU HAVE THE CREATURE LOOKING VERY STRONG AND COMTEMPLATIVE AT THE SAME TIME...LIKE HE IS STARING INTO THE FUTURE OR THINKING OF THE PAST...EXCELLENT PIECE.

The messier the better, I say! I really think pastels suit you - the colours and way you've used them in this image are just fantastic. Do more! The buffalo thorn on the left is a very nice touch too.
