Here is a glimpse of my sketchbook. I call these subconscious drawings. The exercise that I perform every time I have a spear moment. Usually while waiting - dentist's office, airport, auto-mechanic and such, sometimes at night in my bed instead of reading. These drawings come without any concept preparation or thinking, it's like letting your hand draw, guided by your subconscious. The beauty of the drawings is in the raw look of imperfection and the message that your mind is trying to communicate. It is a puzzle one has to unravel in coming to closer understanding of that hidden part of the iceberg in ones mind. The method is very easy. To prepare my sketch-book, I lay watercolor washes using random colors on all the pages, then fill the colored part with pen & ink. Sometimes it takes months to finish one page. It all depends on when that absent-minded moment will come. Some parts of my sketches have become paintings. If you are interested enough, you will recognize them.
