DANG! Wicked! I thought my spider shot was fierce, but you got me beat here, awesome macro, angle, true color. Do you know the variety and what region was he/she from? Is it venomous? Great job Jan!

Artist Reply: Dear Lisa, Thanks for your comment on my spider. Here are the answers to your questions: The spider is a jumping spider and the region where Ifound him was my own backyard in a place called Amerongen in the Netherlands. That's where I live you know. Th spider is only 5-7 mm. and not venomous for men. As you can see on one of my other pictures it is a quite dangerous species for its fellow-insects.
