Fontestorbes France

Sorry about the translation but this is what the Fontestorbes are! It only happens so offten hope you like the picture! I finally figured out how to do slow shutter speed! ------------- Located close to Bélesta, Fontestorbes is an intermittent fountain which is thrown in Hers, tributary of Ariège. Its food being seasonal, the flow of its siphon is not regular: the intermittency lasts from July to October and cease with the risings in winter. The flow varies from 20 to 50 litres/seconde with 1800 litres/seconde. One needs about thirty minutes to see emerging water. Fontestorbes is an unexplained phenomenon which will maintain a long time still its secrecy.

Very interesting history. Neat picture. Does that foot bridge get covered with water or is it above the water?
