Her Eyes//
Sharp, clear beautiful/
Smiley, expressive, intelligent/
That is how he saw her eyes on that day when they first met/
He was totally taken by them/
He saw her art before he saw her/
And understood its depth better once he came to see her eyes//
He came to see and know these eyes closer/
See their glitter, see their traction/
See them happy, content, looking at him with love and motherly affection/
He saw them reflecting a childs happiness on a wonderful day by the beach/
They were trusting in spite of the constant waves that filled them with salt and a burning sensation/
They were watery but they were happy//
Red, reticent/
Reflecting a troubled soul/
They have gone into unchartered territory/
Confused, dazed, lost/
Watery, but this time, they were not happy, and he in turn felt that burning sensation/
He sat there and allowed it to happen, or even worse he perhaps caused it.///
