(Sorry if I say anything wrong, my english isn't the best. And correct me if I'm wrong with the facts) ****************************** Have you heard of the starving people in west Africa? Last year, in october, we knew what was coming. We could prepare and maybe stop it. But we didn't do anything. Now 7 million people riscing to die, in Africa. They have no food. They're very poor. Why didn't anyone do something? Every human is worth one life. If you saw a man, lying on the ground, almost dying. What would you do if you could save his life? Watch him die, or help him? No countries (as far as I know, correct me if I'm wrong) tried to help. Now when people are dying, they help. But not when they knew what has going to happen. They die. Most of them are children and old people. Every fourth child dies. Here is one of these children. I don't know if he's an angel now, or if he's alive. *************************************** You can donate money through the red cross. Go to your countrie's red cross website and donate. Beautifully Done, Exudes Emotion!Tami Dykes 03 Jul 2006
This child is so fragile to the touch and sooo very tired. They want the arms that reach out to them to scoop them up and let them just sleep comfortably in their arms. Sleeping in the arms of someone that truly cares and gives love. To receive compassion, to receive love and to receive no more then what one has to offer. They want to feel a new kind of love they never felt before. Not just the love of a mommy and daddy but the love of someone that cares about who they are as Gods greatest and dearly loved creations~ CHILDREN. It's more then just seeing who they are, it's finding out who we are and making a difference with the blessings we have been given. God Bless.Christine brand 03 Jul 2006

I don't understand why there are starving children anywhere when there are people and institutions out there who have too much... IT'S INSANE! Powerful piece Olivia...Femi Johnson 29 Aug 2005
Olivia, it is work like this that speaks past prejudice, politics, and rationalization. If and when we all pro bono some of our creativity to the uplifting of peoplekind it will be in the conscious psychie of the world. beautiful picture and sentiments Olivia. Oh how I wish that we could make sure the aid gets to those who need it as well. But so often the food gets highjacked and sold on their blackmarket, and only a small amount goes to those who need it so badly. :'( And their government lives of the proceeds, live the high life and ignore the starving :'( I will donate and I hope it goes to feed the starving, but I know what goes of in these countries. The people wouldn't be so bad of if they helped their people more.Anonymous Guest 28 Aug 2005

If he's an angel now there is no more pain for him, but what about the others. It is painful to know of this plight, yet it needs to be known to be taken care of. I do not know any facts concerning the misuse of money, but I do know of the starvation over there. The money mongers thouroughly disgust me. You've captured a sad truth in your art.Malin Hagman 28 Aug 2005

This brought tears to my eyes. Yes, it's really sad and what's worse we learned for the first time how corrupt the United Nations is! What happened to all of the money that was promised? Someone became very rich while these poor children continue to starve! What's worse is that no one seems to be looking into this situation...... This is amazing work!Joke Schotting 28 Aug 2005

Olivia, for being so young, you have the heart of a lion. If more of our youth were half as caring as you, our world would not be in the state of dispair that it is currently in. I applaud you for your talent as well as your courage. This is most touching and wonderfully drawn. THANK YOU.
