These are butterflies called Marine Blue.. Here we see them in the seldom seen Marine Blue reverse double twist greeting gesture when they both land on the same flower.... Well actually, They just happen to be caught in the middle of mating, It must of been the paparazzi in me..lol The wingspan of these little butterflies are 5/8--1 1/8 inches(17-28 mm) There Habitat are Open woods,meadows,and fields..Their range is Illinois to California, south to Texas and Mexico and the tropics. In the north they are around Spring to Fall and in the Extreme South all year round..
