Such a wonderful painting. The sky is spectacular, and has a quality like an old lithograph..the trees are masterful and the cows are so well observed. As Kristina says, there is also humour in here. Wonderful!

I love the way you've put these things together. I like that the cows are looking at me, because that's funny... the blocks of color make it sort of cartoonish, which makes it seem like everything about it has a bit of a sense of humor. And yet the detail is spectacular, from the colors in the frass to the birds by the little house. There's so much to look at, and it's all beautiful.
