What a lovely painting. As the fawn keeps the boy warm while sleeping and watches out for him. Beautiful!

Beautiful, peaceful setting anf very well-composed. You seemed to have captured the exact feeling of the warm spring sun against your face after a cold, harsh winter. Very nice!

What a beautiful painting! The boy looks so exhausted. So glad he found a kindred spirit.

Artist Reply: Thanks, Diana, I was thinking along the lines of Marjorie Rawlings' "The Yearling" when I painted it.

I dont think it gets any more amazing than this

Artist Reply: Thank you, Vincent. It just won the Babara Watkins award at our local county fair this week for best portrait, human subject and I was thrilled because Barbara was a well-known, well-regarded Tillamook county artist who died a few years ago. She was also a great friend.
