Pen - landscape and starry night

Fountain pen in polymer clay. A landscape with lake on the body of the pen, a starry night on the cap. The original is in my pocket now, and it is my main writing instrument. Copyright 2005, Mike Huber

Beautiful paintings on these lovely pens!!! Such gorgeous colours!!!

Artist Reply: Thank you. It isn't paint, though - polymer clay. I rolled and twisted various colored bits of the clay together, pressed them on the pen parts, and smoothed it on my lathe. The lathe is a full-size woodworking lathe, so it looked a bit silly, a tiny bright colored workpiece on a big grey machine. A very fun process.
