Introduced at the New York World Fair in April of 1964 the Mustang, with its timeless long hood, short deck, styling became wildly popular. It started with a base price of less than $2,400 for a sporty little commuter but you could chose from a wide range of options that would include the K-code HiPo 289 engine and build a high performance road machine.
