Bloom Where You're Planted

A Prismacolor experiment gone horribly...right? :D It started as a little random flower sketch, but once I finished coloring the flower itself I decided that it needed leaves. After that I thought, "I want a blue background," which is unfortunate as I did the drawing on cream cardstock. And then my mom claimed it. About 10-15 hours total, because I'm slow, but half of that was the laying down of the blue. :)

Nice work. I've tried color pencils and know just how difficult it is to get this kind of color.
