The Gambel's Quail is a gentle bird with a soft sound. The two parents raise the brood together. They sleep in trees, but nest in bushes on the ground. It is not uncommon to see a family of 20-40 running across or along the road together: two parents and a crop of babies. Taken in southern Arizona. © Pat Goltz Print available. Please email me.
