Sher's members door/window challenge!

"Weedy Step" Entered for Sher's little game. The rocks and weeds were the important thing here but the pale, warped boards do indicate a door! Acrylic on canvas

The Final Friday Docktail Parties are a HUGE SUCCESS!!! A BIG Shout Out goes out to CRAIG BRIDGES for your part in making the Sarasota Sailing Squadron THE PLACE TO BE on the FINAL FRIDAYS of the month. It's a great time with a great band (from 7:30-10:00pm) and great firneds. And is family friendly, too. We wouldn't miss it.

Again, too bad about the photo reproduction but this painting must be gorgeous in real life. Your attention to light and subject harmony is superb. Well seen and well captured!

Nice shot.

Artist Reply: Thanks everyone for your comments. You should all check out the "Message" page - 'general discussion' - once in a while to see what certain members are up to! Sher Richardson had the idea for us to download windows and/or doors on a certain day. Just for fun, you see. This is my entry.

I thought this was a photo Betty! So much the better. I love the warped faded boards. This door has seen many many feet and many many lives pass through it!

Betty this is nice! Love those gold tones and the use of light in this piece. The wood looks very realistic and aged at the bottom. Great job!
