Portrait of a Sheriff

20" x 24", Oil on Canvas Sheriff Keller was my Captain at the time I was injured in 1990. He then became the Sheriff of Clark County, Nevada. Sheriff Keller had helped my family and I through the 5 operations I had to undergo and with rehabilitation. I did this painting for him as a gift for his kindness and concern for one of his officers. The police department had an art show where Sheriff Keller was able to unveil the painting. He was pleasently shocked and surprized to stand there and view this portrait of himself in full uniform; with the American flag in the background. Emotions welled up for we both knew what each other was feeling and, what we had gone through together. He has since retired and has the painting in his private collection. **Portrait Commissions accepted, upon request**

This is a fantastic portrait, very skillfully done. I especially like the toned down colors, and the awesome details in his uniform. The skintones are perfect, too...excellent work!
