time washes over all things and exchanges one kind of beauty for another
Artist Reply: Yes indeed. True beauty never dies. This shot was an accidental find. I meant to take the flower into work that summer morning. It baked all day on the hot leather interior of my car.
Thanks much Greg!
It is like the beauty of the rose never fades no matter what stage it is in...I like the way you shot this one...really interesting forms and luscious colors even when it is dieing...a wonderous natural abstract...a testament to the beauty of the creator.
hmm, you don't see pictures like this much. Showing them after their real beauty; yet this has a beauty in itself. Truly one of the best I've seen in a while. It takes real talent to photograph something not normally beautiful and turn it into beauty.

Withered but still beautiful! Nice color, the pinks fading into the creamy yellows, the petals curling inward....lovely.Greg Joens 26 Sep 2006
