The TF was the last of the T Series sports cars produced by MG. The series had started prior to WWII but it wasn't until the war that GIs stationed in England discovered the car. After the war the MG-TC led the flow of British sports cars into the United States, it was followed by the TD but by the mid 1950s MG was in need of something more modern which would come with the introduction of the MGA.
