Very nice--beautiful focus and detail. If there was anything I might check (and I'd need a mirror to do it--or your reference :-) I'd look at the shading and angle of the fingernail--I'm just not totally sure it's as correct as the rest of the piece. Lovely, though.

You've caught the papery texture of old skin wonderfully Anne. I bet this brings a lump to many a throat. I went with my mother to see an old friend of ours and she didn't know us at all, I just couldn't stop crying. Such a wonderfully sympathetic scratchboard drawing of a long life captured in her hands.
