Great Job...I like how the different objects look and feel like what they are made of.....The knife looks like metal, the pitcher looks like porcelain, and the peaches look soft and yummy...

Artist Reply: Thank you, Lee. To me, making paint resemble all of those things is the exciting challenge of painting a realistis still life!

Classically painted n beautifully thought out! U should paint your own wonderful face soon! I am always interested in the way a talented artist depicts their personality. I hope U don't mind me saying so, I think U r lovely n would make a great work of art. I admire your spirit n heart! It is a pleasure to see the soul of an artist shine in their work, the world needs loving kind people, to counter act the negative. I rejoice in the recognition of a person who adds inner beauty to life. CB

Artist Reply: My word, Christine! What can I say?? The fact is, I would rather paint the fuzz on a peach than the laugh (and frown) lines on my own face!!

Terry Bullard 23 Jun 2005

very nice - well placed, would like to see a little more area above the pitcher - but textures and colors are wonderful.

Artist Reply: Thank you, Terry. You are correct! Actually, there was more space there, but I'm always getting a frame shadow in my poor photos! They are distracting so I just cut them off!

Julieanne Nielsen 23 Jun 2005

Betty, I always enjoy your work. The knife & that peach pit is great, wonderful detail!

Artist Reply: Julieanne - thanks for noting that knife. I was happy with it, myself! Silver, for me, is one of the most difficult of metals!

Julie Mayser 23 Jun 2005

A gorgeous still life... full of light and color and great "lines", harmony, richness!

Artist Reply: Thanks so much, Julie. I don't know about the lines and harmony, but there is certainly a wonderful richness about the common peach!
