I liked several of your images, Stan, but this one is special to me because it reminds me of late summer in Japan. We'd get these typhoons that would flood everything and if they broke up in the late afternoon there would be scenes similar to this not far from where I lived. The grey clouds would be breaking apart and looking so harmless; the landscape would look washed innocently clean and the ditches and fields would be full of calm water. Yup, your image here hits home.
are you modified the original photograph stan? it'll be more attractive if you remove rest shadow of tree from left bank of channel.
Artist Reply: there has been no modifications done to this photo if you take into account the angle of the sun the lengh of the tree trunk the distance between the the banks and you find the shadow has not been put there and look what way the shadows are falling ....thats why this photo is up to show the different ways shadows and reflections can work and with 99.9 % of my work they are straight out of the camera to the viewer
