Very interesting tree and terrific photo. The bark is so interesting. Does it always hang off like this or is it because the tree is deteriorating? Birch trees in US have papery bark,too.
I'm glad you showed this one, Stan. We have paper trees in our area and I have used their bark to make frames for nature oaintings... works really well.
