Beautiful painting of the old quarry early in the morning when there is still some mist rising from the water as the sun is just peeking through the trees.. Love the birds flying across the scene so pretty, and the crystal, clear, calm waters, reflecting all the shades of green around it ... Gorgeous watercolour painting Francis!! :o)

Artist Reply: Thank you Les, you must be a 'nature lover' ....nature is part of our life & work as an artist.

perfect work francis.. classical and mood filled.. i smile every time i see your trail of doves... ( i made them doves in my mind, are they a certain kind of bird?) joyful work..

Artist Reply: These birds are cattle egrets or herons if they are in the marshes...and the common pigeons if they are in the street or a top of the roofs.

I love how the sun is shining thru and hits the water. Beautiful painting, Francis!

Artist Reply: This happens only a shot period in the morning when the mist and the sunlight meet.

How many greens you have in this paint? All the graduations I can't count them. I loved Singapore but I saw tooo little. I was young and was looking at the pretty Singaporen ladies, quit natural, LOL.

Artist Reply: I think during the 60's most of these place were swamp and iti's not posssible to reach to these area...
