the idea is presentable. the main theme pulls you away from the chief, though. he is actually even covered up by the fireworks. more time could have been spent on contrasting the 2 themes. there needs to be some sort of seperation between them- unless you're trying to make them flow together to create a third theme. i just don't think you took much time on it. it has potential, i'd rework the structure a little. maybe sketch out how you want them to compliment each other. sketching saves you a lot of time in the end, and more than a lot of the time will leave you with what your vision was, down to the T. keep posting.

Artist Reply: Thank you for your comments, Ryan. I can see you did study the image before your remarks. Here is my interpretation of what I was going for: This is a flame which is the fractal. There are no fireworks there. I added the Chief as his head fit well for using the flame as a special headdress used for a ceremony. I cloned a bit of the flame to make it look more like he is wearing the headdress. Thank you, Again.
