More Mars at Night

Last week I posted an image called Mars Night, a speculation on what Mars might look like early it is development. I received valuable feedback from Jo Glasscock who suggested how I might improve the original image. Well here it is in all its digital glory . . . . I added stars, some gaseous nebula and the rocks were individually created. If youlook closely there is even a faint glow on the horizon over the hills ( that was difficult) It all took hours . . but I think it was worth it. Thanks to my partner in Art Jo Glasscock. I am looking forward to the day when I can go to Mars and take actual photos~!

Very good work on this Richard, I was scanning thru the thumbnails ,saw this and thought , this reminds me of Mars and then I read your title and guess what, it was, so you did a great job in representing what it may look like. The gas effect in front of the stars works. Hope you are feeling better after your surgery.. Regards,Gary

Wow! Very neat shot, Richard. The red earth really makes it look like the surface of Mars.

Artist Reply: Pat We can now see why they call it the Red Planet . . . . .
