This original watercolor is from a photo I took while on a local garden tour which was a hospice fund-raiser. I love succulents and was attracted by the hens and chicks. The wet-on-wet technique for the rock give the original watercolor an Oriental flavor. This painting won two red ribbons in the 2004 Ventura County Fair [CA]. It is matted in cream with a very slight peach tint and framed in a custom frame which brings out the plants' green tones. Framed size is 19 x 25. Actual mat opening is 8 7/8 x 14 3/8.
