The Universal Secret

In my most ambitious work (huge acrylic - 5 feet by 7 feet), this surreal self portrait takes place in a biological setting. I wanted to place myself amidst the landscapes and structures of past beginnings of life and the progression of life on earth through procreation and metamorphosized growth. I also place many hidden symbolisms that reflect my emtions, desires, visions, and the spiritual battles that take place when i work. I put every ounce of power into this creation and it completely drained me when i finished it. I had to recover for 2 weeks without doing anything before i could start painting again. I am very happy with the outcome and i consider this work very personal and immensely intense. The camera picture doesnt quite do it justice once again. But i hope you can get the ideas relatively well from this picture. Copyright 2005 imaginative pencil and myself. All rights reserved.

Justin, this is a truly epic piece of work, reminiscent of Hieronymous Bosch (though this is entirely from you). I would love to see this in person. Easily one of my favorites on this site!

5 feet by 7 feet??? ohmy Justin... my favorite from all you works.. and my very first thought upon seeing it was that it was painted with care and love...the colours so compatable and working hand in hand to explain you to anyone who views it... almost a 'love me for my complexities and do not fear me' whisper... accolades : )
