This street hawker sold fried carrot cakes one of the vanished trade. The government had stopped this street hawkers in 1983, they had moved into the Food Complex or Hawker centre. The street life may be less frenetic now but physically, Chinatown is still there, with all those bustling past slowly faded away....

Love that pool of deep shadow spreading across the street and into corners untouched by that blinding white light as the sun pours down the walls of the closely packed buildings. A masterful use of shadow and light.! A delightful presentation of a bustling street corner in downtown Singapore! Love it!
