Himalayan blue poppies

The main plot of the artwork appeared when the artist read a legend about the sad goddess of the night. It could seem, that the picture depicts ordinary flower, but the artist’s intention is imbued with symbolism. These flowers are not just plants but the gifts of Goddess Flora to the Goddess of night. I’ll tell you this amazing story more minutely. Now listen carefully. Sometimes Flora decorated the Earth by beautiful flowers. All of people and living creatures rejoiced by this beauty. But only Night was sad and unsatisfied. People didn’t like her in spite of she created stars and glowworms to make some light. So the Night have seen the people’s joy and ask Flora for help. “Dear Flora, donate me so wonderful flower that could charm the people. I want them to love me.” Flora fulfilled the request of Night willingly. Since then the poppy symbolizes the nighttime. The son of Night, Morpheus, weaved it to his wreath. Poppies are exactly that kind of flowers that bring sweet dreams to the people.
