My Motor sleigh model . It was the forerunner of snowmobiles on the Island. At the peak there were about 10 on Mackinac. Their popularity was from the late 1940s to around 1970. Our great uncle Jim Francis had one more recently. They were mainly used out on the ice to the mainland for supplies.
