I was in Florida on that cool December day back in 1986 when the shuttle blew up. I was the Senior Account Manager for Curtis Mathes inc. in the Zayres Shopping center off of Hwy 27/441 in Leesburg, Florida. I just got off of the phone with a customer, when another customer comes through the door exclaiming "the shuttle just blew up and we can see it from here!" Everyone in store comes outside, since our store front faces to the east, and you can see this trail of smoke leading up to a puff. it stayed there for a while but eventually it disappeared. Leesburg is about 70 something miles northwest of NASA. I added what i saw that day of the trail of smoke and puff into this cartoon background. This is an entry for a contest on FanArtReview.com .
