I’m sharing a new watercolor study, a small piece about 2 by 3 inches matted to 3 by 4. It’s an abstract composition with vertical brushstrokes in shades of blue, gray, yellow, and muted red. The colors flow softly into one another, suggesting movement and depth without defining a specific scene. I aimed to balance darker, grounded tones with lighter areas to create a quiet harmony, evoking the feeling of early morning light as it shifts and settles. This piece grew from a focus on how color and form can imply space and atmosphere through subtle transitions and rhythm.
