An abstract work using volcanic ash (Etna), as seen in the details. The work was executed on masonite with the application of pigments and a cardboard cutout. The work plays on the contrast between the geometry of the rectangle and the free gestures of the pictorial marks. The limited use of primary colors creates vibrant accents in a context dominated by neutral tones. The overall effect conveys an atmosphere of suspended silence, punctuated by subtle chromatic tensions.
