I attended a 2025 Christmas holiday family gathering and turkey was the main food served. One of the children said, "We are having Thanksgiving for Christmas", which caused a lot of us to laugh. The child's humorous Thanksgiving-turkey reference reminded me of the 1950s-1960s television show House Party hosted by television personality Art Linkletter- 1912-2010. His show regularly featured interviews with children and was named Kids Say the Darndest Things. Look the show up on YouTube. This Christmas family gathering was the inspiration for my artwork that shows two children admiring the turkey on a platter held by a partially shown adult. On the dining table are biscuits, butter, and empty plates soon to be filled with delicious food. I used the Paint program on my computer to create my artwork.
