I like it; soon, we shall see summer's end so best remember it in its glory, Joanie. Like depictions of old broken down and abandoned abodes by the way. Use to take pictures of such places where I live. :)

It looks terrific, out here in Western Canada, where the saying was ....go west young man, they settled in the prairies, just below the Rocky mountains, they cleared the land of Trees,Cultivated the Soil,Seeded & made a living for themselves & fed the Country with there Crops,,that's what your memory is about ,the Struggles our forefathers ,grandparents & even parents like mine went through,I remember as a young guy helping mom do canning, wash, carry water into the house,Cream Separator, etc living on the farm,no electricity,no gas,no running water,no toiletries , wood stove for cooking,& heating the 4 room house,Kerosene lamps for light ,cold storage ,blocks of Ice,picking Vegetables off the Field etc,,it was a terrible struggle ,Especially our cold Winter months, still going to School ,a one room with 40 immigrants,,,We moved into the city after 7 years of this ...Thank-you ,for the Advancement of Scientific Technology,,,Life is Good & your painting really depicts how life was, great Memories ,wonderful Stories to tell, but boy what a hardship that was,now all the buildings are torn, weathered,& Falling apart,yes,Abandoned..Thank you for Sharing my memories with this painting,it really chokes me up,how times were for us.Im so sure every Building has Stories to tell. Out here we have many Areas like this ,where only the Homestead stand Crumbled,as the land around it is Put into Crops.
