Waiting On The Sun

This painting is inspired from the Western Slope of Colorado near Gunnison. Much of the area in Gunnison is surrounded by mountains and cliffs. It is a part of a series that I have been working on for a show at Western State University this fall in Gunnison Colorado. A striking landscape features a series of cliffs bathed in warm orange and yellow hues. Trees line the top of the cliffs, silhouetted against a vibrant sky, while a circular formation adds intrigue to the scene.
