This started out a painting for my daughter's wall - a mural I was doing for her, but ended up later as a digital transformation. So, I guess you can call it a mixed media. I was trying to capture the movement of the water, as I was just coming into my own and starting to learn about it. I used deep cobalt and lesser hues of blue and white to cause the glow, the stillness of the mountains in the background are in a noir color, and the quiet pulse in the water to make it move is nothing more than different shades of blue. I wasn't going for flashy, but a subtle rhythm that water has under the moonlight — shifting, alive, and whispering. I wanted mainly to hold its presence, so it could be felt deeply. When I was done, I could sense that something was watching or waiting. Maybe just a moment caught between breath and stillness. Now, years later, when I look at it, I can see the depth of the mountains needing further clarity and shadows, but the water...I think I caught what I was after. Your thoughts?
