This painting was my visual response to the beginning of "Strip Searching" at the US Airports. Two of my college women students coming back to school from Spring Break were violated at two different incidences and airports. After I noticed how quiet and despondent one was during our class session, I asked her about it. When she responded, the other student also recounted her experiecnce. Clearly, the experience traumatized both of them. It led to a very poignant discussion. More info about this artwork will be available in the upcoming Exhibition Catalogue in September, 2025.
