This is a painting of the Big Thompson river that flows out of the Rocky Mountians and just south of Loveland Colorado. When I was young we camped all summer on this river. The following year there was a storm that caused flood and a lot of destruction. The river is flanked by rugged mountains with a dramatic sky overhead illuminated by a warm light. Two eagles are seen soaring above the landscape, adding a sense of tranquility to the scene.
