The painting depicts the “Botanical Garden of Hobart” in Hobart, Tasmania. Hobart, Tasmania is in Australia where I spent time in the summer of 2018. A colorful garden in different shades of green dominates the landscape. The structure of the house with its door, stairs, flowers, garden, sculpture, and detailed paths is a human creation that beautifies the landscape. The leaves in the grass, and the hedges of bushes and trees, all beautifully maintained, reflect the interconnectivity between humans and nature. As such, we are called to a healthy, loving, and caring relationship with nature to pass it on as a legacy to future generations.
