Her Name Is Barbra

I used the Paint program on my computer to create this portrait artwork of the legendary all-around entertainer Barbra Streisand- shown in her 1960s era. She is one of my favorite icons of Show Business. My favorite song of hers is 'People'- 1964, and my favorite Barbra Streisand movie is Yentl- 1983. I am currently reading her recently published memoir: My Name Is Barbra.

So beautifully done,she's so recognizable,even if you didn't tell us her name,,,Wonderful Movies,especially the one with Robert,he's Icon too.,,,,She's also married to a great guy,James Brolin,,,I still remember watching him play a Doctor.,,Barbra has a terrific voice,,I still recall the Duet she did with Neil Diamond,it was such a Romantic Song,what a great lady she is,

Nice work, Vernonette! My favorite Barbara Streisand movie is also Yentyl, and my favorite Streisand songs are Evergreen and People.

Artist Reply: Thank you very much Blondie for your admirable feedback. Barbra Streisand, along with Paul Williams, both won Academy Awards for Best Original Song- 1976- for Evergreen. She was the first woman to be honored as a composer. :)

Artist Reply: Thank you sincerely Sharon for your generous praise of my artwork. Barbra Streisand communicated in a recent interview that she was officially retired, but I hope she changes her mind and does some singing concerts periodically, or acting roles. She still knows how to train her voice for singing. :)
