Trees in the ravine

This abstract is of trees in a ravine in the sunlight. The painting is inspired by the trees in a nearby ravine I often walk in not far from my home. I have used many layers of paint here. The bottom layer is now mostly of a dark blue paint which has been heavily layered on the cradled wood board. Then I have added pink, magenta, and some bronze paint as well as some light green. A more recent version is coming up with more neon pink on top of the dried pink paint to bring up the color. The yellow paint was mixed with gold acrylic paint to give it some texture, depth and warmth. The orginal yellow neon paint was not thick enough to coat the board so a regular cadmium yellow with a gold acrylic was mixed and is replacing that on the board. The magenta paint was also mixed with some gold acrylic to give some texture.
