Oriental Gothic Dragon

This is a large commission piece which i completed for a very lovely lady not long ago. She wanted something gothic and dark but also with a Japanese oriental feel to it. I looked at old japanese woodcuts and ink drawings for inspiration. Copyright C.A.Thomson 2004 (Not to be used without artists or owners permission)

A FABULOUS RENDITION OF A FIRE BREATHER, HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE QUITE LIKE HIM, STRIPES ON THE FEET N TAIL REALLY SET THIS OFF, GIVING IT A LIVELY SPIRAL EFFECT. THE DARK DEAR DRAGON... WISH HE WAS MY PET... FOR IF EVIL CAME TO MY DOOR ... THAT MOMENT IT WOULD MOST ASSUREDLY REGRET. WONDERFUL BRUSH WORK! CHARLOTTE, NICE TO MAKE YOUR ACQUINTANCE, I AM CHRISTINE

Excellent work of art! Love the classic hazy background contrasted with the heavily detailed dragon. Classic and new all at once, well done!

Beautiful pen work. The ink washwes on the mountains are exquisite. And clouds, I like the clouds. I recently started doing ink washes again after about 12 years of neglect.
