I checked with my neighbour farmer, says it's a lacewinged Mayfly, all over in the wet lands
Artist Reply: very pleased to see your detailed comments and very sorry to reply you so late, Mr Budarin. having photographed insects for years, this the only time met with the strange species and maybe in the future I won't have a second chance to see it.
Fantastic Photograph ,obviously one for More needed professional Research, myself,I've never seen this species, winged similar to some kind of butterfly family,??? This could prove to be a treasure for you,,as a Honey Bee Keeper for years, this is something new to me,here in Western Canada,,,,,,I've never seen a head shaped like this one,,,Terrific Find.!!!!!!!!!
That's one unusual specimen, Mr. Wu. The coloring, wings, translucent appendages all wrapped in that elongated body add up to an entomologist's wet dream, I think. And what is that proboscis reaching for? :)
Artist Reply: well, I don't think that is his proboscis, instead i feel it is one of two front legs (or you may regard them as arms).
thank you again Mr Budarin
