Mount Garabaldi in the distance. This Great Blue Heron seemed to be keeping watch over a large number of birds.Quite a few Red-tailed hawks were hunting that day.Taken from Garry Point park B.C., overlooking the body of water known as the Strait of Georgia, which separates Vancouver Island from the mainland of British Columbia.

A true beauty. Have you been to Brackendale at Eagle fest in January Michael. Was there in 2005.. AWesome place to view eagles.

Artist Reply: Yes I have John,I used to work regularly in Squamish for about 6 years and because I worked at night I would walk along the river there just about every day. One time my wife and I counted over 400 eagles along a 1 kilometer stretch of the dyke starting at the Brackendale museum. Thanks for the comments John, much appreciated. Michael
