Three red and white robed angels stand in an large vaulted room. The sun has just set over the hills out the arched doorways in the background, or is it about to rise? The stained glass windows in the upper story are just starting to lose their glow. The centrel window shows the Temptation of Eve. The angels pray, they offer solace and they beckon. Are they muses, emissaries of a higher power, or temptresses? Do they offer death in life or life amidst the death? Everything in the painting has a meaning, like in life, everything is a clue. Decode the painting and tell me what you think. Copyright 2004 by Herb Roe.
