Kasbah in Ouarzazate (Morocco)

Years ago, we toured for a week through the south of Morocco in a rental car at the end of February, and arrived in Ouarzazate. We stayed in a hotel opposite the Kasbah Taourirt, it was late at night and too late to visit the building. A kasbah is in fact the fortified building in defense of the medina (a kind of "shopping arcade" but in Moroccan style). Below, some more impressions of this trip ...

Artist Reply: Yes, indeed, it was special and sometimes adventurous as we managed to get into a flood in the desert with our hired Dacia Logan and narrowly managed to reach a hotel at night. A year later, we planned a trip through the Atlas Mountains, but the trips with rental cars were no longer offered.

FABULOUS WATERCOLOR, IVO. I FOUND MOROCCO SCAREY; ESPECIALLY IN THE KASBAH. I WAS ON A TOUR AND THE PEOPLE IN THE GROUP TOLD ME TO HOLD ONTO THE GUIDES ROBES, BECAUSE THEY SAID I WOULD BE KIDNAPPED AND SOLD INTO SLAVERY. YES, THAT MADE ME MORE UNEASY.

Artist Reply: Thanks Sharon . We never felt uneasy in Morocco and we were al alone on the roads trough the desert, due to a flood we even got stuck in a village in the evening, of course one have always to pay attention.

this bright vivid blue sky beside the sun kissed sand colour Kasbah, I dare say your artwork is doing a pretty good job of PR for Ouarzazate ,beside the Game of Thrones!
